Oracle Client Configuration
- Must use Oracle 32bit client only with Yurbi.
- The driver must be installed on the same server as the Yurbi installation.
Setting Oracle Home Folder Permissions
Log on to Microsoft Windows as a user with Administrator privileges
Launch Windows Explorer and navigate to the ORACLE_HOME folder. The ORACLE_HOME environment settings is not set in all installations, so you may need to find yours.
If you can't find your Oracle home directory you may be able to find it in the registry in one of the following locations:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\<wbr/>Wow6432Node\ORACLE HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\<wbr/>ORACLEFor example for r11.2.0 it can be found here: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\<wbr/>Wow6432Node\ORACLE\KEY_<wbr/>OraClient11g_home1 where a key exist called ORACLE_HOME and is set to: C:\app\Administrator\<wbr/>product\11.1.0\client_1
Right-click on the ORACLE_HOME folder and choose the “Properties” option.
Click on the “Security” tab of the “Properties” window
Click on “Authenticated Users” item in the “Name” list
Uncheck the “Read and Execute” box in the “Permissions” list
Re-check the “Read and Execute” box you just unchecked)
Click the “Advanced” button and in the “Permission Entries” list make sure you see the “Authenticated Users” listed there with: Permission = Read & Execute Apply To = This folder, subfolders and files Make sure the “Apply onto” drop-down box is set to “This folder, subfolders, and files”.
Click the “Ok” button until you close out all of the security properties windows
